'' The Truth They Did Finally Extract ''
I loved my wife the way she loved me,
We're lucky that love no one can see,
If we could we'd both have been free,
That I'm afraid is a fact.
She said for me she'd do anything,
To my side she'd always cling,
That's why she wore my wedding ring,
I thought forever we'd have a pact.
One night while out I got caught speeding,
Due to this my heart was bleeding,
With my wife I'd soon be pleading,
I had to use some tact.
Nine points on my licence was really bad,
For another three a ban would be had,
So I kissed my wife and said, Comrade,
Against me the odds are stacked.
Eventually she agreed to take the blame,
The points would be in her sole name,
No I did not feel any shame,
It was sympathy that I lacked.
On my wife I then later cheated,
She's claiming now she was badly treated,
Revenge on me is what she has meted,
I knew this is how she'd react.
After all this time she has stuck me in,
By denying all I was sure I would win,
My denials were getting under her skin,
My family's morals I had attacked.
I was sure the case would be thrown out,
As us politicians hold legal clout,
As a minister the law I thought I could flout.
But the crown I could not distract.
When they decided my trial would go ahead,
I knew my defence was all but dead,
I am guilty sir is what I pled,
I then resigned before I was sacked.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,
I can't deny it I was forewarned
It was Satans disguise she had adorned,
My mind had finally cracked.
The moral of my story, what I did was perverse,
My criminal act I cannot reverse,
The publicity against me has been unduly adverse,
Though in parliament with criminals it's packed.
My ex wife has always been clear and concise,
Though her predictions for me were very precise,
Now the both of us will pay the ultimate ' PRYCE ''
Between the legs we've been smacked.
She has put me through insufferable Hell,
In shafting me she did excel,
As we both languish here in our five star cell,
