From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
She's the epitome of the epitome
Sitting over yonder
As her beauty radiates
I swear it reaches for me
Leaving me in a state of wander
I mean so caught up
I'm roaming but this time with purpose
Who knew the moment I fell I'd be
Steady swimming for dear life
If Only...wait...I'll save that for another write
She turns to leave my presence
I push her out of my head
Then memories, images, thoughts
Finally her lingering scent invades
I reach for her hand
The lines of our lives connection
Now that's the most powerful known to man
Until our lips engage
My heart soars to the heavens
Knees drop to the floor
Sanity making its way out the side door
And I can barely stand
She pushes me away
Just to glance at my jewels
Talk about role reversal
Then pulls me back in
Heart steady gasping for air
But she won't release her grip
Out of my body she sends my spirit
Call that soul dispersal
What an experience
The reason I plead insanity
While the jury's still in deliberation
Praying for an acquittal
Cause Lord knows I have no rebuttal
I glance back in her direction
There she sits as gorgeous as ever
Me over here
Still thinking of lines so clever
