           DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN?

When this country was a great place to live.
When the person in front of you, would hold
 the door open.
When children said “Yes Ma’ma and No sir.”
When the water in our streams ran clean.
When a loaf of bread was ten cents, a quart
of milk was fifteen cents and a gallon of gas
was thirty five cents, and a dime would by all
the candy you could eat.
When your father could leave the car in the street, unlocked.
When the TV went off at midnight.
When you could walk the streets at night with out fear.
When airplanes had propellers.
If, you can remember these things, then you live at the very
best time of this century.
A time that has slipped away forever.
