 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Although I may be free,
I am still as a slave;
For what I do and see,
I can no longer crave.

I became a subject,
On what Moses had taught;
Laws I cannot reject,
That some others forgot.

I did this as to win,
For they belong to God;
To get rid of the sin,
And cure where I am flawed.

But I also submit,
To the teachings of Christ,
And as I do commit,
Of being sacrificed.

I became someone weak,
In faith as some I see;
And what they try to seek,
Strengthens not they should be.

I do this for the sake,
Of the Good News to share,
Showing I am no fake,
And do sincerely care.

So I run for the prize,
Since I know I can win;
A win will make me wise,
No longer slave to sin.
