Ode to Culinary PleasureWhy do they treat a customer like an ignorant fool, Trying to serve a signature fare, they say that's cool, Well ! here's to personal taste, just eat what's good, Paid for by your well earned money, so enjoy your food, Juiced tomato with Worcester sauce , and chilled to taste You must give this beverage a try, it is simply the best I still request my steak cooked a good medium please, Always refusing the chef's choice of a light grilling tease, No-one cooks food like my gran, scrumptious days I recall, She lovingly cooked on a range, with hearty fare for us all, Never an empty plate seen, such a compliment to her skill, She would never feel compelled to follow any chef's will If you're deciding to dine out, in a restaurant that's great, Be careful of an offering placed in the centre of a plate, Make sure you get what you ask for, watch as they cook, Demand their culinary inspiration not a sample from a book.
