I Will Ascend Or Fall

There is no insurance
in reassurance.

All things being what they are.

Jagged.

There is a void in the
broken desert of my heart.

I cannot reconcile what
will not be. There is a beginning and
always there is an end.

This is how it is.
No longer within the circle.
I am looking now
from the outside in.

Emptied. Wearied
with the bargaining of
giving in. There are no
deals left to make.

Let me go?
Am I so, sorry?

I will ascend or
I may fall.
I cannot depend upon
the future.
I cannot sift out hope
between my thumbs.

I must make of
whatever, comes.
