From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph

In the land of the Rising Sun

She's over there trying to block me out her mind

Thinking

This whole outta sight thing is surely a lie

It's about quarter after nine

She lets out a sigh

Saying "why did you have to leave...

I should have at least told you goodbye"

I'm walking out here

Looking up into Big Sky Country

Wondering if she's over there

Thinking about me

Maybe not cause I'm outta sight

It's a quarter after six

I let out a sigh

Saying "Of all the women my heart picks

Why'd it have to be you...

I never even got to say goodbye"

These are just some thoughts I get

You sure make it seem easy

Like you can just forget

I can't even keep my mind busy

Long enough to keep you out

This whole Like vs. Love thing

What's that all about?

Negativity clouding my judgement

But why not when it seems

You believe us to be just a figment

But maybe it's me with the illusion

But my oh my

Though it may be confusion

I sure did like whatever it was we had

So much I'm over here singing Usher's song

You know the one...you've got it...

(Singing) "If you're touched by the words of this poem..."

Had to put my own twist

But krazy how it's you I miss

How'd you turn into

The best thing I never had

How'd you turn into my fix

My heart awakened from its slumber

Now I know why I put it to sleep

Cause I hate feeling like this (smile)
