Live as People of God
I tell you and encourage you,
Strictly in the name of the Lord;
You will not be remaining true,
If my words are being ignored.
Live no longer with the heathens,
Their minds are just on worthless things;
Nor with any of the pagans,
Such immoral pleasure it brings.
For they could never understand,
Because of places they embark;
Are pathways through the sinking sand,
And always remain in the dark.
They are excluded from the life,
That God approves for His people;
And will get no help through the strife,
For not following the Gospel.
Their ignorance and stubbornness,
Since no longer a sense of shame;
They have become promiscuous,
Sexual perversion their game.
But that is not what Jesus taught,
For He taught us a godly way;
And reach towards Heaven what is sought,
For changing and not go astray.
The truth is within Jesus Christ.
So change the way you are living;
Confess on how you are enticed,
And God will be all forgiving.
