 Fulfilling Destiny

Fulfilling Destiny

We were among the first of man
In the days before time began
We laughed at how the children played
In the coolness of a forest glade
Scions of our fathers great-grandfather's
Who had been so much more than we...

~~~~~~~~
Set the sails at sundown's fall
On board we go, one and all
Embark on Noah's many stabled ship
Mankind's greatest sailing trip
We'll seek our fathers great-grandfather's
Dreams somewhere across the sea...
~~~~~~~~

We'll go around the world and then
Conquer the land, we stalwart men
Watch our children laugh and grow
Watch daily life's ebb and flow
At the place our fathers great-grandfather's
So much wished us to be free...

~~~~~~~~
Let us set our sights toward the stars
We will leave Earth, as we go to Mars
Step on out across the sparkling skies
See the wonderment in our children's eyes
And fulfill our fathers great-grandfather's
Long dreamed of destiny...
