Poetic-Verses

'' None Know The Meaning Of Despair ''

In times of austerity there's nothing surer,
The rich will get richer while the poor get poorer,
While most of us struggle to find a curer,
For us they just don't care.

As the rich queen Beatrix abdicates,
There's royalty appear from the worlds states,
As they eat their dinner from gold leaf plates,
Of the poor they are not aware.

We've given our queen a five million pound rise,
A sum that certainly opened our eyes,
Being told we are bankrupt can only be lies,
Our politicians wouldn't dare.

As their expenses claims go through the roof,
If they've not got receipts they invent the proof,
Like their manifestos they're made on the hoof,
With us they refuse to share.

The utility companies are robbing us blind,
Their methodology is just so refined,
Saying they're exploiting us is being unkind,
They're crying it is so unfair.

Thousands of companies are fiddling their tax,
Then walking away with their cash filled sacks,
If caught their accountants then make tracks,
Hiding their fiddle deep in their lair.

Rich individuals are doing exactly the same,
It isn't enough to have fortune and fame,
They are all scumbags who have no shame,
Their incomes they refuse to declare.

There's footballers, actors, singers too,
If you expose their fiddles they threaten to sue,
Role models my foot is what I say to you,
Yet they portray themselves as so debonair.

Religious leaders living in splendour,
For the title of hypocrite they're the main contender,
Their favourite song is of course big spender,
It's for Satan they need to prepare.

When we question their fiddling they go to ground,
An honest one among them will never be found,
Their blatant corruption would truly astound.
It's the trademark of a millionaire.

We make their fortunes that they tend to forget,
As for our suffering they have no regret,
It's a fact of life you can safely bet,
