End Pride
End Pride
There are six things that the Lord hates,
Although seven are disgusting;
And turn you away at the gates,
Since He thinks you are distrusting.
For you are far from being wise,
And if deceitful words were flung;
If you would have arrogant eyes,
As well as with a lying tongue.
Hands that would have innocent blood,
A scoundrel with dishonest lips;
Can cause terror to start to flood,
With each drop of coffee he sips.
Such evil in his twisted mind,
While spreading conflict worldwide;
Words that he stated are unkind,
But nowhere to trace that he lied.
Dishonest witness spits out lies,
Pointing with his crooked finger;
Winking to signal with his eyes,
He makes the disaster linger.
He is such a devious man,
Feet that are quick to do wrong;
A twisted mind with such a plan,
Leaving aftermath to prolong.
A terrorist has so much pride,
And considers to be a friend;
But down deep I wish inside,
Praying that our Lord would end.
