'' For Killing We Have An Addiction ''

If we were created to live in peace,
Why are we all primed for killing,
Is it because life will forever increase,
As for procreation we are more than willing.

Whoever gifted us with the ability to breed?
Also hindered us with the concept of dying,
So to repopulate the species he planted the seed,
If he didn't there'd be no point in trying.

Our problems arise because we breed too fast,
Too many lives means there's less to go round,
Sustainability of our species just couldn't last,
The consequences would be really profound.

Even by allowing killing animals for food,
There's the increase in the Human Race,
Controlling other species won't do us much good,
As in the future we will run out of space.

We are heading for the point of no return,
Births far outweigh those among us who die,
It's old Mother Nature's warnings we spurn,
It's now far too late to ask why.

Our creators' teachings are awash with death,
His biblical tales tell of wars galore,
They tell of him watching over their last breath
His final conflict is all blood and gore.

Can you imagine what our population would be?
If billions hadn't died in disputes,
Even the sternest critic would agree,
The argument for peace this refutes.

Our planet is crumbling around our ears,
Because our enlargement we refuse to abate,
Whoever created us unless he appears?
We're going to end up in a terrible state.

Living in peace is an impossible dream,
Can we achieve it we will never know?
If we asked the being we class as supreme,
He'd tell us the answer is no.

The fact is all life forms must kill to survive,
God's commandments are a pure contradiction,
Peace isn't possible if we're to stay alive,
