The poor and the needy,
Are looking for water;
But they are not greedy,
Just for son and daughter.
But there is none around,
Their tongues are parched with thirst;
Rivers as dried ground,
Thinking it is the worst.
The Lord will answer them,
If they sit down and pray;
And never would condemn,
For what they need today.
He will abandon not,
And make the rivers flow;
For the water sought,
He already does know.
Springs will flow through the vale,
Turn deserts into lakes;
Flowing through hill and dale,
Doing all that it takes.
He will be planting trees,
Shading them from the sun,
And the wind cooling breeze,
As the Lord will not shun.
People will see and know,
As they will understand;
His power does bestow,
What their lives does demand.
For He is a Savior,
And with no other gods;
He sees you with favor,
The rest of them are frauds.
