'' He'll Forever Wield The Power ''

I went in to a church today,
Where I asked to speak to God,
The preacher said I had to pray,
This concept I found flawed.

I want to see him face to face,
He said it couldn't be done,
Though he created the human race,
His personal talks are none.

How will I know if he heard my prayer?
You'll know if your request is granted,
What if it isn't doesn't he care?
He'll be busy the preacher ranted.

This made me think it's all a farce,
This God guy cannot lose,
Details on him are very sparse,
He always gets to choose.

If he doesn't come up trumps,
Someone else gets the blame,
If it happens it's you he humps,
You're left to feel the shame.

What a bloody job I thought,
No criticism only praise,
If he's wrong he can't be caught,
You are left to reappraise.

He's a bit like a politician,
You never receive an answer,
Feeding us his religious rendition,
I'd say he's a bloody chancer.

If God's so powerful ask him why,
It's strange and yet it's funny,
His servants here until they die,
Tell us they need our money.

A God needing cash is quite bizarre,
To his principles he is a traitor,
With evil money is on a par,
It couldn't possibly please the creator?

As miracles from God are the norm,
They are made up on the hoof,
If he's really true to form,
Why doesn't he fix your roof.

What a number what a life,
He's in the ultimate ivory tower,
Because we're too scared to give him strife,
