In my garden the hummingbird flies
In flight this gentle bird of trust
Tests courage looks me in the eyes
This tiny bird that darts and flies about
Wing buzz but no words come out
My feeder out spring winter and summer
For no more joy than a visit from this hummer
I find them often buzzing my hanging baskets
These tiny birds that appear so shy
Seen early morning and then off they fly
Arriving again at dusk in a twilight sky
Fill my feeder its empty dare I ask but why?
One touched my nose so guilty felt I
For it they did not come my heart would surely die
Things in my garden that brings such beauty
Look outside my dear outside another red beaked cutey
