Arrogance brings on their shame,
In which they will try to hide;
As they boastfully proclaim,
While releasing their pride.
Integrity is what guides,
Those who are truly upright;
Since the truth each one abides,
Which is guided by the light.
But hypocrisy will damage,
When truth finally comes out;
Having not any bandage,
For covering any doubt.
Wealth not helps the day of wrath,
For you cannot pay a fine;
Nor a toll gate on your path,
You cannot bribe the Divine.
Only righteousness will save,
You from the eternal death;
When Christ rescues from the grave,
And start to breathe righteous breath.
Righteousness will deliver you,
While straightening your road;
Smooth sailing to see you through,
Out onto your new abode.
All are saved through righteousness,
As humbled people indeed;
They are blessed when they confess,
If they still have pride and greed.
With faith never give up hope,
For that is your antidote;
Confidence in strength to cope,
Remembering what God wrote.
