Have pity on me O Lord,
Do not let me be ignored;
In keeping with all the facts,
Wipe out my rebellious acts.
Wash me thoroughly my guilt,
For salvation being built;
Cleanse me from my sin,
That accumulated within.
I will admit what I am,
More of a wolf than a lamb;
And my sin is just ahead,
Never as out back instead.
I have sinned against the Lord,
Rather than in one accord;
And what I did is evil,
Which is work of the devil.
But I know God holds no grudge,
So just and fair as a judge;
When conceived as a sinner,
Not considered a winner.
Yet He desires a sincere,
Truth to extremely revere;
For down in depths of the sea,
There is wisdom to teach me.
Wisdom that can make me pure,
Wisdom with every cure;
Making me whiter than snow,
Where the cleansing waters flow.
Let me hear the sounds of joy,
Rather than many destroy;
And the bones heal from broken dance,
Allowing God to advance.
