I am thinking of death,
For I know it is near;
When I take that last breath,
With the pain will come fear.
But fear not since I know,
That Christ patiently waits;
When it is time to go,
He is there at the gates.
It seems to be complex,
When seeing someone die;
From this life to the next,
How painful is the cry.
Then their eyes open wide,
As they depart from here;
And many others cried,
The ones who loved so dear.
But why are we so sad,
Those who have gone away;
For we should be really glad,
Their dawning a new day.
The dawning never sets,
Neither will see it rise;
A place no person frets,
No person ever cries.
The truth is with the Lord,
So never try to doubt;
To be in one accord,
And never try to tout.
Where promises come true,
As written in the Word;
No false claim given you,
All is true as you heard.
