As surely as I have Christ,
My bragging will not be stopped;
Not that I do not love you,
Because God knows that I do.
But I will go on doing,
What I have been all along;
And that is to keep pursuing,
Continuing to be headstrong.
This might take away the chance,
Of others who like to brag;
Finding they cannot advance,
Because of this old windbag.
Those who are braggers like this,
Are also false apostles;
And taking pride in their bliss,
Like preachers visit brothels.
They are dishonest workers,
Since they are in a disguise;
Stories that are tearjerkers,
Bringing tears to your eyes.
Even Satan disguises,
Being an angel of light;
But completely despises,
All of that Christ has done right.
No surprise about his slaves,
They are also in disguise;
By day they sleep in their graves,
Since the sun will hurt their eyes.
In the end Satan will get,
And his slaves what they deserve;
While being a safe bet,
Without having any verve.
