'' Gods Create A Great Divide ''
Where was your God when the Romans ruled?
In acts of genocide they were schooled,
Methinks your deities have you fooled,
Why did he watch as his followers died?
Where was your God as his son died on the cross?
Did he put it down to just another loss?
His way of showing us he's the boss,
If so his behaviour was snide.
Where was your God when millions were killed?
Is fighting wars what he has willed,
The very thought leaves us chilled,
I wonder if he even cried.
Where was your God during the holocaust?
As into the chambers his creations were tossed,
He must have a conscience as cold as a frost,
As his indifference spreads worldwide.
Where was your God when the children faded?
No food or water he left them unaided,
Year on year they are left degraded,
Do you blame him for stepping aside?
Where was your God during mass disease?
Those who died he did not appease,
He seems to live a life of ease,
As to him blame is never applied.
Where was your God when we became unstuck?
When his Human Race ran amuck,
Did he intervene, no such luck,
Doing any wrong is always denied.
Where was your God as his planet was destroyed?
Did he inform you he was really annoyed?
Could it be that mass destruction's enjoyed?
What exactly does he provide?
Where was your God when you needed him most?
Where was his son and the holy ghost,
When called on do they always desert their post,
As over death they seem to preside.
Where was your God when religion was created?
Did he know they would grow unabated?
Are we expected to believe they are interrelated?
Which one's real is for you to decide.
Where IS your God is the question I ask,
Why doesn't he allow you to take him to task?
