 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

JUST AN ITCH

She twisted the chain
of an anchored memory
the Gold never tarnished

Dangled an evil eye
representing: "The guard against"
such ancient beliefs

It was saturated
with black and white diamonds

It represented her eyes

An Egyptian pharaoh
a sculpture of her liking
rested masculine and powerful

Upon a throne
for a King and Queen

To remember a man

Scratching backward
holding it within
an untouchable cube

Somewhere in this portrait
gem covered dragonfly's scatter
raining glitter and amber waves of grace

Tangerine and chrome delusions
smooth the shades of gray screens

She loves colorful things

The pendant will pull loose
and beads of deliverance
shall fall into rose petals

Her minds chatter shall quiet
with a predictable hourglass

Lonely and vulnerable

Ceylon sheers divide
the spirit and soul
she finds herself somewhere

Between a pyramid
and a stealth flight
bending time and losing breath

Beneath the skin
that God gave her
and her morphine drip

...She crawls
