Take my hand in time of need
I'll lead you not astray
Through life's gloomy days
My light will show the way

Centered on a selfless heart
the twinkling eyes do shine
Waiting just to meet the smile
That almost mirrors mine

Gazing back to by-gone days
the little children shined
Playing tag and jumping rope
With no one left behind

So in my mind are Mom and Dad
And cousin Marilee
Days where worries never tread
Our hearts completely free.
