Honor belongs to who believe,
The future holds what they receive;
But the ones who do not believe,
By the ones who love to deceive.
The stone that the builders reject,
Is the cornerstone we select?
A stone that some will trip over,
From the gossip some will utter.
A rock that is still large enough,
Like a granite that is tough;
Some people will find offensive,
And find it very intrusive.
The people tripped over the Word,
Refused to believe what they heard;
So they are will never get saved,
And their tombstone will be engraved.
But are chosen for how you have stood,
And part of the royal priesthood;
A holy nation that belongs,
To God and forgives all your wrongs.
You were chosen to tell about,
To those who still have any doubt;
The reason we honor and laud,
An excellent and awesome God.
A God that calls you to embark,
Into the light and out of the dark;
And all the people here rejoice,
At the sound of His gentle voice.
At one time you were not His own,
But now invites you to His throne;
Once He gave no mercy and grace,
But now will give you His embrace.
