Be ye doers of the Word,
Adhere to all that is heard;
Learn to listen what you hear,
Listen hard enough to bring fear.
Do what His Word says to do,
Do not merely listen to;
Or you will be the big fool,
Not even knowing His rule.
If someone hears but does not,
Chances are that he forgot;
In one ear out the other,
Same as told by his mother.
Like the face in the mirror,
Take a look, see the error;
It is written on your face,
Being a fool and disgrace.
If you study as being taught,
You understand what is sought;
God will bless what you have read,
Adhering to what He said.
So do what His teachings say,
And you will not go astray;
For His teachings make you free,
Giving you insight to see.
If religious one may think,
But his tongue likes a strong drink;
He cannot control his tongue,
From vulgar words being flung.
His religion is worthless,
And the Lord can never bless;
Corruption made him impure,
Never to find the right door.
