PRIVATE AND LOUD
I run my fingers `thru water
a stream in the center, twirls
and bounces random reflections
faceless you are- behind me
A droplet struggles
to keep it's wonder
upon a strand of my hair
I anticipate it's drop
Can I catch it,
and what if I do?
I listen to those voices
beneath the ocean of my troubles
they all talk at once
I cannot decipher their message
Rested I am
and just, in time
Clear water rival
rebirth as the filth
drains away~
A shift of lives...
Too many failures
the temptress of all irony
and her pretty white face
The kiss of death
and her red dress
I press my cheek softly
against the fogged glass
there, I move slowly back
and blow a wet thought
Keeping in tune
with the music of my healing
I have mended somewhat
but with it's slow curse
When I bathe, I sink deeply
and visit you all again
you do not see me
My glow encapsulates you
Into a pool of forevermore
I have loved you
with all that a soul is
and will ever be...
My enlightenment escapes
`thru a crack in the glass
returning home
into the saturation of tomorrow
I stand naked and vulnerable
