When I marched into Bagdad,
I was sort of feeling glad;
Since God gave another chance,
Possibleness to advance.
A chance to spread the Good News,
How Jesus Christ paid their dues;
And reflecting on the cross,
On our gain from His loss.
But I had no peace of mind,
Since they were not very kind;
And bid them all a good-bye,
As I left out a slight sigh.
But I thank the Lord, who leads,
Who guides me through and succeeds;
In another victory,
And not contradictory.
Wherever I go I feel,
To be filled up with His zeal;
God uses us to make clear,
That we have nothing to fear.
Like a fragrance in the air,
An aroma that is rare;
As Heaven is on the mind,
And for keeping us aligned.
For the aroma of Christ,
Will keep us to be enticed;
Reminding that He did save,
Us from the eternal grave.
Who is qualified to tell,
About Christ where He does dwell;
And His life giving fragrance,
Filled with such sweet elegance.
