Cherished moment re-visitedWe may never pass this way again, or so it is said, Any cherished moment in time, is revisited in our head, All changes deemed constant, a fleeting observation, That special fun-time memory, a snapshot recollection, A meeting with our children, family re-united alone, No loving partners with them, a single sibling zone, With three generations present, a time warp now exists, An instant becomes a vision, that old magic still persists, As if it was yesterday, their bond stands the test of time, They share a sense of togetherness, poetically sublime, As everything has progressed, this moment has stood still, Grownups now my children again, such a parental thrill, Enjoying the company, my grand-daughter has the gene, With that awful sense of humour, just added to the scene, Our time together was special, in our hearts it left a glow.
