GLANCE
I turn that key
it fit, "Welcome Pilgrim"
into another world, I glanced
Standing at the threshold
I tilt toward those voices
they call out to me
my eyes oscillate
I am petrified
and rattled
`Tho a calm comes over me
Fear slides off of my skin
slowly, I move beyond the door
Hushed
Curiosity is a beautiful servant
and a dangerous master
at the same loud hour
You dwell between life
and deaths glossy veil
somewhere inside these corridors
there is a vacancy for me
I am a being of wonder and wander
so I move on into the gray film
becoming frail and weak
A scholar of anesthetic and stitches
I want to bandage these souls
I want to hold them, they call out to be cradled
Inside these holes are filtered screams
and the white noise becomes transparent
Encounters of the damaged
show their colors of bitter sweetness
Beneath the surface of our skin
we are equal here and now
Trial and tribulation
An epic minute of realization
God particle
Space and time
The whole universe
Adam and Eve
The bible
An ancestor before and after Christ
The magnitude of knowledge
TRUTH
My zeal becomes my Achilles heal
The scope of this existence consumes me
fire-less firefly's
dead flowers
wing-less dragonfly's
A waterless brook
a stolen look
Willows weep as they stand
near a rim of fire
Echoes and ripping of flesh
I sense the waking of Hell
beyond that burning ridge
a kaleidoscope of color
There, over there, I want to enter
that encompassed valley of vivid hues
`tho my eyes are bruised from the dark
I have glanced a Majestic Paradise
Their struggle is valid
as I moved among them
This is my rehearsal
my costume breaks off
as does this brittle flash
The film of Purgatory
I glanced and felt the thin veil
When you sit down and comprehend
I shall stand up victorious
I am an obedient Gardner
where is my garden?
