I urge you sisters and brothers, In listening to no others; In the name of our Lord, To who shall never be ignored. Always agree with each other, Do not offend your brother; Not to any groups that oppose, Any of the views that we chose. I want you to be united, And never to be shortsighted; In understanding and opinion, From any kingdom or dominion. Remember that for your belief, Quarreling causes so much grief; For you follow Christ and not Ken, You read the Scriptures not the pen. You were baptized in whose name? Is it Paul or Christ you proclaim? For the triune God three in one, The Father Spirit and the Son. I know not of baptizing one, Not the reason sent by the Son; To baptize Christ did not send me, Rather to preach so you could see. He sent me to spread the Gospel, Tell the Good News to the people; Not words of wisdom to argue, Rather peace and hope to construe. That would cause for having a loss, And meaningless having the cross; If the cross of Christ was not there, Then we have nothing to declare. Copyright © 2013 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
