The Lord reigns as King,
Let all the bells ring;
Let the earth rejoice,
Sing with cheerful voice.
Let the islands sing joy,
From each girl and boy;
As the clouds surround,
Dancing to the sound.
He stands on a throne,
As a rock alone;
Giving righteousness,
Through justice to bless.
Fire surrounds Him,
Fear not nor feel grim;
For it burns His foes,
While the blood flows.
Flashes of lightning,
As the thunders sing;
Lights and shakes the earth,
As one giving birth.
Mountains melt like wax,
No one can relax;
For all of them fear,
That the end is near.
But God says fear not,
He gives refuge sought;
As Heaven tells more,
Of what is in store.
Let all put to shame,
False gods they proclaim;
And the pure rejoice,
Lifting up their voice.
