 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

DREAMING IN COLOR

I stood barefoot
upon a marble floor
there too we made love

The corridor lead me afar
it never seemed to end
alike my depths of passion

Pillars were lit by candles
to light way to my chambers

I moved toward a windowsill
and whispered and inhaled

The past and present
idled in that moment

I sigh and grab my chest cavity
swaying much like a pendulum

Will I just petition
and wail a mourners song
grabbing at my wounded heart

Here a name is not spoken
for this love has perished

I swallow my pride
tasting it's salts

This world is but a hell
Lit by the embers of souls afire

My shadow has taken absence
his poltergeist, will not come either

So just I, dismantle this kingdom
and rejoice thru my new madness
dancing beneath a crescent moon
barefoot and pregnant embodied

Shall I disclose these delusions
and their marriage of soured regrets
inside this mist and haunted mirage

I gather my self and stroll
inside a emerald city
with eyes wide and narrow

To glance upon that silent hill
where the willow weeps
and the headstone keeps

I dust the tragedy from my skirts
and make way thru a overgrown garden
taken to that scratched tree
where lovers names remain

As long as I draw life's breath
the engagement will be everlasting
and I shall always elevate the memory

So early here, I have reached it's climax
standing, erect and alone
