Blessed are those who endure, When they are being tested; Since the Lord likes to make sure, The right one is invested. They will get the crown of life, For they show that they love Him; And it will shield them from strife, To have joy not feeling grim. When someone has been tempted, Never point fingers at God; And He should be exempted, Showing love honor and laud. Only evil can tempt you, And expect it as Satan; No one else could construe, With crooked roads to straighten. Satan knows your desires, As he will set up a lure; Then wait to light your fires, Trapping and locking the door. Desire gives birth to sin, And the birth will cause your death, As it corrupts you within, A stench will be from your breath. Do not ever let him fool, That he has a special gift; He just wants to break a rule, Put you out to sea to drift. So the Father made the stars, And the Father does not change; But He will heal all your scars, For love showing in exchange. Copyright © 2013 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
