When I was a young man in my prime
I hustled the work places for my dime
Yeah I put applications door to door
Took some jobs others would ignore
Stood once with a broom as flower hit the floor
Others quit couldn't stand it anymore
And off they went to drink their wine
Moaning about hard times all the time
One day I read it on a sign
Causal workers we would like to find
So I worked day and nights I unloaded trucks
It was hard work but it paid me bucks
So they said to get ahead you need school
With little sleep I did that too!
One day the telephone rang it was my boss
He asked if I was coming to work I was at a loss
I said of course I am coming to work why do you ask?
You were not here yesterday Two jobs too much a task
The union called from my part-time job
We noticed how hard you work accolades from the rest the mob
I was given a job with health care, seniority and a pension.
Fifty years plus I was in the work force
Not counting the day I sold wild blackberries door to door
Seeing them hand out free lunches to illegals is hard to ignore
Now they want to mess with Social security take from the rich
It is time to vote those dudes out and pull the switch
As for street People in need fine, not those on booze
And the criminals from other countries we have to lose
If you can't find a job go back from where you came
Don't blame the rich those who work Politicians are to blame.
