If someone caused distress, And are not affected; They need to go confess, Tell who was afflicted. Give them punishment, Where punishment is due; Not severe in judgment, Just enough to construe. So comfort and forgive, Show them that you do care; Normal so all can live, Verdict was just and fair. Such stress can overwhelm, If have not forgiven; So put God at the helm, At His throne in Heaven. God will bless through comfort, For it assures the love; Rewards for your effort, Through blessings from above. If you forgive someone, So will the Lord your God; And victory been won, To where they have been flawed. For Satan loves anger, And he loves giving shame; Especially vulgar, In anger they proclaim. With God we have no fear, Satan cannot outwit; If we are so sincere, And the devil will quit. Copyright © 2013 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
