           Bobby and Me

Those were the days, we were young and totally care free,

dancing and yelling as Janis belted-out, “Bobby Mcgee.”

Life was warm and seemed never ending as we sang along

to “Bobby Mcgee."

The wine flowed like water and the young girls danced with

yellow flowers in their unruly hair and made love without a

single care.

The year was sixty-five and Ashbury had come alive.

We sang in the sunshine and danced  in the rain...

hippies, one and all, we thought those days would never end.

With peace signs dangling from our necks, end it did!

Now fifty years later, where Oh where is...

Bobby Mcgee?
