She was working at the front desk.
Admitting patients to a Doctor's office
A lady with a soft voice and smile
But known also for endless talking,
was talking and my friend politely
pretended to hear,
it was somewhat babbling
So she said, "I said with a smile
"That's nice!"
When the lady left her co-worker said,
"Do you realize what she was telling you?"
"No my hearing aid is not working!
"She said Her husband left her and is taking
the kids and she needs an appointment immediately."
"But she was smiling!"
"She was having gas and stomach pain."
