'' Don't Ever Be Afraid To See ''
A good New Year to you poets all,
To all those writers who sow it all
Also the critic the know it all,
Without them where would we be?
After you post you stand ten feet tall,
That's until they give you a call,
Soon you're heading for a fall,
Criticising fills them with glee.
Where would we be without the critic?
Their negativity can get you paralytic,
If truth be told they are parasitic,
That sums them up to a T.
A question you are not allowed to ask,
Is please let me take you to task,
They tend to hide behind a mask,
Though I know that they won't agree.
Why would you bother to slag off another?
When someone's talent it can smother,
You can't be classed as a sister or brother,
We all love to write Poetry.
Why do we bother to even take heed?
For their views is there any need,
To bring down another is a form of greed,
Being constructive should be the key.
Is it because they are better than you?
Can they surpass anything you can do?
Do we really need to hear their view?
From criticism we will never be free.
If you're in it just to criticise,
Then your attitude most would despise,
For future respect you must open your eyes,
Don't leave us all at sea.
Never let criticism make you a recluse,
Always ignore what is wanton abuse,
