His life would have it's share of those
A chocolate heart and one Red Rose
Though melt they would into his past
As time moved on and by him passed
He visits her from time to time
To share of thoughts and drink of wine
With her he loved but age crept by
His love of life not by his side
Her face runs through when his eyes close
Imagines her and day proposed
A ring upon his finger worn
A better time of vows once sworn
It was simple, just him and her
Affair where guests was justice stirred
The words to bond how they would live
To love another to take and give
Her gown was but a daily dress
No need for tux and tie but less
For these two souls loved and then some
A state of mind making them one
But winds of change brought lonesome to
A place of peace to one once two
Today though hearts will share such love
But his once here has gone above
His treks many to sit before
A stone, her name upon it draws
Another day of Valentines
Of past and present, will you be mine
The Sun seeks rest as dusk now comes
To end their time of what's become
A place to share of things this day
A place where she, he'll be someday
