As the thief returns,
They will howl like dogs;
As each of them learns,
Some new dialogues.
They prowl the city,
What pours from their lips;
The sight is not pretty,
As their drooling drips.
They shout who will hear,
While we will laugh;
Make fun of your fear,
And feast on your calf.
O where is my strength,
While I watch them;
Persevere the length,
My God please condemn.
God will come to meet,
As you sing a song;
Trample with His feet,
Dancing all night long.
God will let me gloat,
Those who spy on me;
Escape in a boat,
And head out to sea.
But do not kill them,
Was my desire;
Only to condemn,
Into the fire.
For others forget,
Strength of such power;
And about the debt,
Of the dark hour.
