     What will I miss?

When I’m dead and gone, I  will miss the
sweetest wife any man could ever want!
I will miss Monique, my darling daughter!
I will miss Anthony, my only grandchild!
I will miss Tony, my only son in law!
I will miss all of my life long friends!
I will miss the sounds of children at play!
I will miss the sound of music!

I will miss the warmth of sunshine upon my face.
I will miss the early morning mist as it drifts over
Carter’s lakes.

I will miss the stirring breeze flowing through the trees.
I will miss the soothing sound of the shallow waves upon
the white sands.
I will miss the flight of the eagle as it soars over the mountain tops.
I will miss feeding the hungry sparrows under the thorn bushes.

I will miss the taste of southern fried chicken, a slice of pecan pie
and ice cold watermelon.

I will miss the rain that gives birth to the colorful spring flowers.
I will miss the crystal, white snow flakes that blanket mother earth each season.

All these things will be missed, but not as much as life itself!
I will miss writing my little rhymes, but above all, I will miss
you...the reader of these indelible, penned thoughts!
