'' Enlisted In Dracula's Undead ''

We walked to the woods as the sun had set,
The castle was a sight to behold,
It's owners we looked upon as a terrible threat,
Their demeanour seemed icy and cold.

They had never been seen during the day,
It was said they were stricken by light,
They seemed to prefer to keep visitors at bay,
It was said some had died of sheer fright.

Where they had came from nobody knew,
Conversation was not one of their traits,
As the years rolled by the legend grew,
That terror lay behind those closed gates.

Visitors had entered but never returned,
What in Gods name could they be?
Our attempts to converse had all been spurned,
What was in there we just had to see.

As we climbed to the top of the castle walls,
For what we saw we were not prepared,
Coffins lined up in the candlelit halls,
This was now our time to be scared.

The sun was setting as we reached the peak,
We knew not what was in store,
Our quest like the castle was filled with mystique,
Who'd have the courage to enter that door?

Suddenly the both of us were beckoned within,
By a stranger dressed in black,
Looking at us with a mysterious grin,
He said you know now there's no going back.

As we tried to escape we were frozen with fear,
Rooted and feeling terrible confusion,
We asked him why he was keeping us here,
From your bodies I need a transfusion.

For this gift you'll be granted eternal life,
Immediately we both answered yes,
No more deathly feelings of strife,
Our joy we were unable to suppress.

While we slept we were drained of our blood,
The truth then filled us with dread,
Reality brought us back to Earth with a thud,
