The sun begins to fade
and the day is done,
It's time for me to leave
I tell my loved one,
"For the next few days
I'll be gone on a hunt."
"Why must you go?"
she wanted to know
and what was the reason,
for my going hunting
out of the season.
Now I'm driving ,driving
to a forest,
in the middle of nowhere
and hopefully no one
will find me there.
I begin to chain myself
to a giant oak tree.
I write my wife
a good bye note,
in case the chains
get too tight
around my throat.

Now, I ‘m in a hurry,
the key to the locks
I had to bury.
'Cause the full moon is rising,
feel my senses sharpening
I begin scanning the woods.
Filled with bad intentions
I‘m up to no good.
Last thing I remember
I saw a wild boar,
and lunged to attack,
but the chains and the tree
they held me back.
Next morning I awoke to
scratches and gouges
all over the tree.
Where the wild and mad werewolf
had tried to break free.
Digging up the key
and packing up my truck ,
I‘m sure I saved a life,
but now I must return
to the quiet suburbs
where I live with my wife,
Last night's deed unknown
But in my dreams
I hear the werewolf moan.
