The Unfairness Of Angels

~~~ I was a bear once ~~~
~~~ I was a bear once ~~~
When I was younger, I used to stare
Into a life, when I was a bear
It's taken me this long, to now share
That in a previous life, I was a bear
Catching salmon, with my claws
And making footprints with my paws
No one cared about my flaws
I lived my life, by natures laws
I was a happy bear, not bi-polar
I would never endorse coca cola
I wasn't black or full of misery
I was brown and fierce, a real grizzly
I lived my life in the Alaskan wild
I had a wife and a child
But I left them, to wander alone
Until one day I entered a 'non bear' zone
I didn't know, I was just having fun
I never saw the ranger or his gun
Shots were fired, to body and head
And that's when I guess? I was dead
But then I awoke, crying and small
Into a place called a 'hospital'
No bears there, just human babies
With proud fathers and prouder ladies
there was something about me?
I just put it down to insanity
But I grew up in their world around me
And I fitted into their society
I was reminded of what I was before
When I watched a program on chan 4
About bears and how they act
They are killing machines.. Fact!
In my human dreams I remembered
How I killed and dismembered
A hiker alone upon a path
I didn't kill him for a laugh
And now I'm here one of you
At least I wasn't kept in a zoo
I still feel and act the same
Just human now. Matthews my name
