Late Lunch

He took the last slices of my salami,
Can't get it out of my head,
He took my last slices of salami
All I had for lunch was salad instead.

All the morning as I worked
My mouth would go quite dry
At the thought of thst salami
Between two slices of buttered rye.

With lettuce, tomato, spring onion,
Peppers both green and red
Lathered with thick creamy mayo
On freshly baked crusty bread.

He'd left a little note
Just explaining why
He'd taken my salami
Se you later and bye bye

He took my last slices of salMi,
Totally ruined my anticipated lunch
Can't wait to see him and give
His nose a nice heavy punch.

You may think I'm being childish
But my morning had finished late
My stomach rumbled with hunger
And I just couldn't bear to wait.

He took the last slices of my salami
Then had the cheek to confess.
The last slices of my salami!I
Wars have been started for less.

A friend is a friend and sometimes
For such a friend you'd gladly die
But he put a strain on our friendship
Ruining my salami on buttered rye.

He took my last slices of salami
All I had for lunch was salad instead.
He took the last slices of my salami
Just cant  get it out of my head.
