Four years old the Doc said,
"We need to puncture his ear drum!"
The fever broke and I learned to hear
Eight years old a Boeing plane
Was falling out of control
The house was shaking and it
crashed a mile down the road
Five were killed but I lived
The house next door was in flames
Cinders were burning on our roof
Fourteen years old I was climbing the water tower
It began pouring down rain
I had to swing up and grab a ring
On the last gap I made it to the top
Firemen had to bring me down
I found myself on the wrong side
of the DMZ in North Korea
In 1959 I was put in the ward
With the Asian flu in the no help ward
Woke from a five day coma alive
Three years later was given three to five
years to live weighing 130 pounds and 6 ft three
I am 240 pounds today and face another test
Twice I had Prostate cancer and survived
Today I get the results of the biopsy
Once again I put my faith in God and Angels
Whatever I have lived on borrowed time
Oddly I have outlived those who were telling
me I was on my way out so wind the clock or
have I tested fate the final time?
