Oh how I love what you have taught,
Showing solutions what I sought;
They are in my thoughts all day long,
So agony does not prolong.
Your commandments make me wiser,
And You being as my adviser;
With having Your laws to abide,
You are such a wonderful guide.
Your commandments remain with me,
Showing the way that it must be;
I feel more insight what you have taught,
Than all other teaching has brought.
I have more wisdom than my years,
Of experience that brought tears;
Because now I always obey,
Throughout each and every day.
And I have been keeping my feet,
From walking where you feel the heat;
Avoiding down the evil path,
So I will be spared from Your wrath.
I no longer neglect Your laws,
With desire to stop the flaws;
Because You taught me it would spread,
Like a cancer on my death bed.
How sweet the taste of Your promise,
That seems so wondrous and precious,
It tastes sweeter than pure honey,
And richer than all the money.
My understanding is greater now,
Giving me all sorts of know how;
Able to tell truth from a lie,
Knowing the foe from the ally.
