Our Guiding Light
It's really cute about the Easter bunny
But there's a sacred belief concerning this Sunday
There was born a child in a virgin
That sparked attention of many who heard of him
At the age of 12 ... He talked on fully equal terms with the rabbis in the Temple
Don't seems quite possible these days but with him it was simple
When a man about 30 He was baptized by John
John the baptist who testified that Jesus Christ was God's son
There was chief priest and elders in bisbelief of a man
Who was pure and innocent born into this land
There was many disbelievers throughout His life
The believers accepted Him ... his presence made all things right
He was crucified ... the one with the innocent blood
Because of fear, because of fear, of who he was
If it was not for his death
Our presence as we know would not have been felt
That brutal beaten and carrying a rugged cross
Not of anything that he did but our faults
He died for us so we could continue to have life
And have it abundantly with mercy and grace ... that's right
Our journey here is temporary
And there is only one to carry
Us ... into a path of everlasting life
Only Jesus can take us to the next flight
We have to trust, believe, and know him for ourselves
There's no one else qualified for this help
God love us so that he gave his only begotten son
And we have not figured it out yet ... we're still on a run
I hope the run turns out to be a race
Lord knows for sure we need this mercy and grace
By Jesus death we received the way, the truth, and the life
He's our only way to the Father ... He's Our Guiding Light
So you see ... It's not about a bunny for Easter
It's our Salvation because of Jesus!
