'' That's Why We've Never Been Back ''

When we went to the moon?
It was hard to attune,
For exploration we have a terrible thirst,
But on arrival there was a commune,
The aliens had got there first.

They said go away,
We're here to stay,
Our astronauts they then taunted,
With your species we do not want to play,
So don't stay in a place you're not wanted.

Filled with fear,
We asked why are you here,
They said we could ask the same thing,
Soon they made their feelings clear.
Pain and misery is all that you bring.

On your planet below,
It's death you bestow,
To destroy you are more than willing,
Though this may come as a bit of a blow,
To obliterate you we're more than willing.

Look at your rockets,
Filled with sockets,
It's a miracle you even arrived,
All you're interested in is lining your pockets,
Without you lot our species have thrived.

When you come along,
Everything goes wrong,
Death and destruction then follow,
Promises you make though the content is strong,
Every one of them turns out to be hollow.

Humans are mad,
As well as bad,
Your lives revolve around greed,
What we as aliens find really sad,
Is you've forgotten the meaning of need.

If you ever return,
Your craft we will burn,
This is not just a mindless threat,
For now hostilities we will adjourn,
Ignore us and there will be regret.

To Apollo eighteen,
We had to be mean,
Ignoring us got us really annoyed,
What happened to them you all foreseen?
You sat back and watched them being destroyed.

With their awesome power,
The Earth they'd devour,
Their technology we could never attack,
Truth is the aliens did make us cower,
