Rob Grill and The Grass Roots

Spokesman And Long Time Buddy On The Scene:
Just received this message from Nancy Grill
regarding the passing of her husband and my old friend, Rob Grill.
"My dear husband, Robert Frank Grill (67) passed away peacefully
in my arms at 11:37 a.m. (EST) (07/11/2011)
while listening to 'Let's Live for Today.'
Thanks for all the prayers and support during this time.
Rob loved his fans and The Grass Roots."

Rob Grill will truly be missed by many of his fans, friends and family.
He recently lost his only son to cancer.
Grill suffered a massive stroke one month ago and was in a coma
for over three weeks while also fighting pneumonia.
Rob was moved to a hospice facility three days ago and
passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011 at 11:37am.
Please pray for Nancy Grill.  Rest in peace, brother.  Rest in peace.

Rob Grill, the longtime frontman of folk-rock band the Grass Roots,
died on Monday at the age of 67 from complications of a head injury
sustained in a fall last month(June 2011). According to the singer's wife,
he had been in coma since suffering two strokes following the fall,
each located in different parts of his brain.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh Dear Sweet Rob Grill
of your voice we could never get our fill,
so sorry i didn't know you died
so happy Dearest Faron got to meet you in that he had such pride!
This is how Rob looked at our little park that day
way back when we saw him with his group when they came to sing and play,
oh to live for the day when The Lovin' Things
pull at our Heart Strings!
The number 11 is the worst for me and it shows
cause on earth i lost My World....Heaven Knows,
i miss Him so i cry a million and 1 tears
to be with Him again i dream and wait what seems a million years!
Now Rob left this earth the same year and same day but in july
4 months after My Most Precious took to the sky,
Please Oh Please Rob
Sing That Today Song For My #1 Heart Throb!
Of yours it was his favorite tune
he sang along so sweetly that day in june,
hard to believe you'd be 70 years old now
and for what you gave to music it along with us takes a bow!
SALLY just 1 grateful fan
of an oldies but goodies singer songman....
