'' Religions Are But Pie In The Sky ''

Life can be amusing,
Yet so confusing,
We always ask ourselves why,
Not all that happens is of our choosing,
Like why do we need to die?

It's so unforgiving,
What exactly is living?
Could it all be one big lie?
For what we are I have a misgiving,
Why does death even apply?

Everlasting life,
Causes so much strife,
It does lead so many awry,
Such empty promises can cut like a knife,
If it's true then why do we cry?

Of facts there's a lack,
No one's ever came back,
To either confirm or deny,
The concept of religion is under attack,
We're condemned if we refuse to comply.

What I find odd,
Is where is your God?
He never takes time to drop by,
Could it be the whole thing's a fraud?
As of religions there are an endless supply.

If only, we say,
Every other day,
Could it be your creator is shy?
Regardless of the amount you pray,
Your requests he always seems to deny.

How can you trust?
Someone so unjust,
Then portray him as such a good guy,
Loads of cash are also a must,
What would a God need to buy?

Hypocrisy stains,
Though it pains,
To your Gods we must say goodbye,
I believe it's time to let go of the reins,
